For special occasions we can provide either sparkling wine or champagne and flowers or a box of favourite chocolates. Just advise on booking if you would like to order a `special request`.

Please note that we can supply a champagne bucket , ice and two champagne glasses for £10 if you prefer to bring your own.

Booking Deposits

Upon booking a deposit will be taken  to secure the booking. No booking will  be secured without a deposit. the balance becomes due and payable upon demand after the expiration of the cancellation period. We accept Visa, Switch, Maestro, Mastercard and most other credit and debit cards that are chip and pin secure but do not have the facility to process American Express cards or Diners Club. no addittional surcharge is made  for payment by credit card.

Booking Early Arrival - Before 4pm  and late departure after 10.30 am

Early arrival  and late departure must be by prior agreement. charges will be made prior to departure , as follows:

There will be a charge of £10 per hour or part hour for admittance before 4pm.and  a charge of £10 per hour or part  hour  for late departure after 10.30

Booking Late Arrival

RECEPTION CLOSES AT 21.00 HOURS. ARRIVALS AFTER THAT TIME  MUST BE BY PRIOR AGREEMENT. THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF £10 PER HOUR OR PART THERE OFFOR LATE ARRIVALS AFTER RECPTION CLOSES, OR WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION AND AGREEMENT WITH THE OLD RECTORY.

WE STRONG ADVISE THOSE ATTENDING  LATE DINNERS/RECEPTIONS TO ENSURE THAT ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE AT THE TIME OF BOOKING.WE HAVE NO RECEPTION FACILITY AFTER 10.PM.

Cancellation Policy & Conditions

We strongly advocate taking out insurance to cover all costs in the event of cancellation. Guests are reminded that a booking, once accepted, either written or verbal forms a legal and binding contract.

In the event of cancellation we will use our best endeavours to re-let the room immediately upon notice cancellation, right through to the day of the booking . However there will be no refund if we are unsuccessful and less than fifteen days notice have been given. There will be an administration charge of 10% to cover fees and time and charges, when moneys are refunded.

If no notice is given ,or we are not successfull re letting the room , you will be liable for the full cost of the stay.

We reserve the right to transfer or upgrade to an equivalent or higher value room in the event that we are in receipt of a confirmed reservation, (and the guest has not responded to our attempts to contact) and the original room being booked prior to the reservation.all bookings are provisional until a deposit is taken to secure the booking.

We reserve the right, as a matter of last resort, to re-assign your booking to an alternative guest house of similar status and cost, within the locality. This would only be in extreme circumstances and every effort would be made to advise of any change prior to arrival.

Guests are advised that burning candles is prohibited. We have a smoke detection system which triggers the main fire detection alarm resulting in the evacuation of the entire building. It is therefore a serious matter which could result in distress or injury to other guests. It is important to note that whilst we can make provision to avoid and protect from specific hazards it is reasonable to accept that all occupants need to accept personal responsibility for their own care and personal safety.

Should any guest be found to have been causal to the creation of any hazard, they will be held responsible. All costs, damages and compensation arising will be their liability. Should a guest , damage, break , foul or soil any fixture, fitting, furniture, carpet, linen or any other fabric for what ever reason they will be held responsible for all and any costs arising for the cleaning repair or replacement of all items so effected. Monies will be withheld from the deposit in such circumstances. Any refund will be forwarded with a statement of costs to the guest as soon as practical.
